In Harmony with Nature

Battimandorlo is a place where you simply have to relax. Nestled in the countryside and surrounded by nature, you are only disturbed by the distant hum of a lawnmower, crowing roosters, and the rustling of olive trees. In the morning, it’s always a delight to watch whether it’s the donkeys waking the rooster or the other way around.

On the property, there is a lovely swimming pool – an infinity pool with the landscape serving as a stunning backdrop. Here, you can lounge by the water’s edge and savor the delightful aromas in the air. The pool is available exclusively for hotel guests. Battimandorlo may have just five rooms, but its generous pool and garden spaces lend it a surprisingly private feel. The place invites tranquility, far from the stress of everyday life. Perfect for a romantic getaway for couples.

This makes Battimandorlo an ideal place to experience both urban energy and rural peace. It is also a short drive by car to fantastic beaches and coastal towns, such as Lido di Noto, Marzamemi and the Vendicari Nature Reserve.

Rustic and modern

The building housing Battimandorlo is originally a chapel from the 1700s that has been restored and now serves as a boutique hotel. All the rustic elements from days gone by have been preserved, and they are elegantly combined with modern style and comfort.

Wine and dine at Battimandorlo

Battimandorlo features a small restaurant where breakfast is served each morning, either outdoors in the courtyard or indoors behind large, beautiful windows framing the surrounding nature. On most days, you can also reserve dinner here, although the restaurant is closed a couple of days each week.

The property is home to many almond, lemon, olive, and carob trees. The fruits from these trees help shape the flavors of the dishes prepared on-site. We can reveal that their homemade carob ice cream is fantastic – it tastes like delicious chocolate. The herbs are also sourced from the garden, and the food follows the seasons and the local terroir.

Dinner is served outdoors in the beautiful courtyard beneath the almond trees, and the evening atmosphere here is truly enchanting. You might even receive a visit from a curious rooster peeking up at you as you dine.
