From Vacation Dreams to Italian Everyday Life
Hi! We are Else and Glenn.
We are a couple from Norway with a lifelong passion for Italy. For years, our travels consisted of the classic, short holiday trips – the ones we all know, where you try to squeeze as much as possible into just a few days. But the dream of something more was always there, lingering in the back of our minds.
In December 2024, we finally took the leap. We put our everyday lives on pause and decided to travel around Italy for a full year. What started as a time-limited adventure quickly evolved into a lifestyle.
Why Sicily?
While we love all of Italy, Sicily is the place that truly captured our hearts. We have spent the majority of our time here, learning that this island demands something more from you as a traveler. It demands time.
Through our extended stays, we’ve gotten under the skin of places like Noto, Marzamemi, and the hidden gems of the Val di Noto. We’ve navigated chaotic traffic, found the best parking spots (the ones you won't find in guidebooks), and discovered tiny restaurants where the food tastes like it was made by an Italian grandmother.
