Hi! We’re Else and Glenn — a couple from Norway who fell in love with Italy.

We’ve travelled extensively in Italy for many years, but always on shorter holidays. In December 2024, we finally made a decision we had talked about for a long time: to pause everyday life and spend a full year travelling through Italy. What started as an adventure quickly became a way of life. Most of our time has been spent in Sicily — a place that has slowly but surely found its way into our hearts.

Here on thisisustravelling.com, we share the things that mean the most to us: glimpses of our everyday life in Italy, the places that genuinely excite us, small favourites tucked away off the beaten path, and tips we wish we had known before we travelled.
